Pogradec has opened last Saturday in a festive atmosphere the tourist season for 2018. This is the official opening, but tourists are visiting Pogradec all the year.Many activities were organized on 16th of June, by the Municipality of Pogradec. Music, sports, food fairs, and artisan fairs were part of the events held all the day. Hundreds of people participated in these events. Part of activities was also the exhibition of well known painter Anastas Kostandini (Taso)
The mayor of Struga was also present and other local personalities. The mayor of Pogradec, Eduart Kapri opened the ceremony inviting tourists from all the world to come and visit this wonderful city on the shore of Lake Ohrid, and to enjoy the unique cuisine of the local people.The Mayor of Struga also said that both cities must cooperate with each other to boost tourism i both cities.
Local people who participated in food and artisan fair are optimistic that this season will be more profitable for their small business. They said that there are many improvements made in the city to welcome tourists. Also people now are becoming more aware to keep clean the city and the lake.
Local Tour Agencies are offering plenty alternatives for tourists who are visiting the region, such as hiking in some mountainous areas, visiting old villages, bike tours, and boat tours.
Pogradeci ka çelur sezonin turistik si çdo vit për të pritur vizitorë nga çdo vend i botës. Me panaire të ndryshme dhe me një atmosferë të ngrohtë, edhe ky sezon u çel nga Bashkia e Pogradecit si një nga eventet më të rëndësishme për këtë qytet.
Qindra pjesëmarrës u bënë pjesë e këtij organizimi për të provuar gatimet tradicionale të zonës si edhe për të parë objekte të ndryshme që tregojnë shumë për traditën e vendit. Kryetari i Bashkisë së Pogradecit, Eduart Kapri ka treguar masat e marra për mbarëvajtjen e sezonit turistik, i cili pritet të tërheqë shumë vizitorë. I pranishem ishte dhe kryebashkiaku i Struges. Dy qytetet jane shume afer dhe ndajne te njejtin liqen, Liqenin e Ohrit. Kryetari i bashkisë së Strugës u shpreh se vizitorët do të jenë të shumtë edhe nga Maqedonia.
Çelja e sezonit turistik konsiderohet si një prej eventeve më të rëndësishme për qytetin juglindor, i cili pret e përcjell turistë të shumtë vendas por edhe të huaj.
Banoret lokale jane optimiste per kete sezon, se do jete me fitimprures per bizneset e tyre. Ata pohojne se jane bere mjaft ndryshime pozitive per ti mirepritur turistet. Po keshtu dhe agjencite e tur operatoreve jane kujdesur te ofrojne me shume alternativa per pushuesit, jo vetem plazhin por edhe ture me biciklete, ture ecje, ngjitje ne malet rrethuese, ne zonen e Mokres, si dhe udhetim ne fshatrat e vjeter apo shetitje me barka.
